DESCRIPTION 
Elective Program is an elective part in education at the Faculty of Medicine - Wijaya Kusuma University Surabaya (FK UWKS) so that students can have additional competencies beyond the core competencies needed, adding or deepening their learning experience and medical education insights according to their interests and career development plans. 

PURPOSE
The Elective Program aims to enable students to have additional competencies beyond the core competencies needed in primary health services that are in line with
the vision and mission of the study program and provide opportunities for students to gain learning experience and self-development as prospective community leaders and professionals in the field of Health to support readiness to be able to enter the community.

The Elective Program within the Faculty of Medicine UWKS are divided into 2 parts, namely:
1. Elective Program at Academic Stage (Semester 1-7) 
2. Elective Program at Clinical Stage (Semester 8-11 / clerkship) 
 
IMPLEMENTATION PROCEDURE 
1. It is a 2-credit program that lasts for 3 weeks for Academic stage & 2 week for Clinical stage
2. Being held at the end of odd semester (In November for Elective at Clinical Stage and in December for Elective at Academic Stage) 
3. Students have a right to choose only 1 topic through the Application Form that has been provided because the implementation of each topic is concurrent.
4. Being held at the Faculty of Medicine, Wijaya Kusuma University, Surabaya
5. Registration for FK UWKS students is free of charge 
6. Registration for students outside FK UWKS for the 2024/2025 academic year is charged IDR 2,500,000 per topic
