Greetings from the Faculty Internationalization Unit (FIU) of Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya University's Faculty of Medicine. The purpose of this website is to give information about FIU. Based on the Dean's letter number 25/FK/UWKS/VIII/2024, FIU was established. By 2031, FIU has pledged to help FK UWKS realize its goal of becoming a preeminent medical faculty with a stellar reputation both nationally and internationally.

 

Generally speaking, FIU assists the UWKS Office of International Affairs program (https://kui.uwks.ac.id/) in cultivating a worldwide community, encouraging cross-cultural communication, and offering exceptional assistance to our global partners. The goal of FIU is to assist and enable the academic community of the UWKS Faculty of Medicine in carrying out the Tridharma Obligation, which is tied to global collaboration and consists of education, research, and community service.

 

We think that the main goal of the internationalization process is to boost the quantity and caliber of performance of the medical academic community, not merely to enhance the institution's reputation. It is envisaged that effective medical education would address global health issues for everyone on the planet. The goal of medical research outcomes is to improve health services at all levels through practical application. It is envisioned that community services would reach and benefit everyone on the planet.

 

Our mission is to serve as a liaison between the academic community of the UWKS Faculty of Medicine and prospective foreign partners, helping them to investigate opportunities for collaboration that will be advantageous to both sides and produce the greatest possible advantages for the general public. We support joint community services, research collaboration, guest lecture programs, and other forms of mutual activities that may be possible. We hope that through these international programs, we can present life-changing experiences as well as insight-opening knowledge to prepare our students to integrate globally. We also hope to be able to establish broad collaborative relationships with various international institutions, especially with other faculty of medicine of the finest universities in the world.
